Regarding kick-off / Start of the Game / Time.

At the U06 level of play, the main guides for the referee are to keep the players safe, having fun and keep the ball moving. We also need to keep an eye on the clock as our games are tightly scheduled and our field space limited. With this in mind, follow these guidelines for this season:

There will be just one kickoff at the start of the game:

The clock will be a running clock of 39 minutes. Do not stop your watch for the substitution periods. Do let the coaches know that your clock will be running.

The restart at the start of the second and third periods will be the restart for the situation when the ball last went out of play, i.e., throw-in, drop ball.

For the coin toss, let the home team call the toss. For the winner, the question is which way do you want to go? The loser takes the kickoff.
