REQUEST TO MOVE UP OR DOWN

As a rule, AYSO does not allow move downs to a division below a player’s age group. We may, on a RARE case-by-case basis, consider a move down from the 10U
division and lower divisions.  We may also rarely consider moving a player up a division.

Once players reach the 12U division age (the year they turn 10), they must play with their age group and cannot play down.

• As a result, children who play down when they’re younger will have to skip a division later.
• Skipping a division, and playing with younger kids, can have a negative impact on player development.
  

Requests are reviewed by members of our board and will be decided on by July 1.
